I'm Madeline Bauman — founder, designer, and the single point of contact behind every White Oak project. I pair timeless design with hands-on, highly personal service for homeowners across the greater Dayton area.
The Story Behind the Studio
Frequent moves during my years in the military gave me a particular perspective on what "home" means. Each new assignment meant starting over in unfamiliar rooms — empty spaces that had to quickly become something more: comfort, stability, a sense of identity. Over time I learned that thoughtful design is what makes that happen. It's what turns a house into a home, no matter where life takes you.
That belief became White Oak Interiors. After six years in the Ohio Air National Guard, I brought the same discipline, follow-through, and attention to detail into a studio built on one idea: design that's beautiful, functional, and made to last.

From the first conversation to the final reveal, you work with me — no handoffs, no details lost in translation. I keep the whole process organized so you don't have to manage it.
Design and management, together
I handle the design — layouts, materials, and finishes — and then manage the renovation itself, coordinating a vetted network of trades I've worked with for years and trust completely.
Collaboration, always
The best design comes from knowing how you actually live. You have a voice in every decision; my job is to guide you toward choices you'll love — built to last, not tied to a passing trend.
I specialize in full-home transformations, kitchens, bathrooms, and basements — and I'm honest about budget, working to make your investment go as far as it can without cutting corners.

Beyond the studio, I'm a wife and a mom of three, so I know firsthand how much a home shapes daily life. It's why my client relationships so often turn into real friendships — this work is personal to me, never transactional. As a veteran- and woman-owned business, I bring integrity and craft to every project I take on.
