Brehm Basement

A complete basement transformation in Fairborn, Ohio— from unfinished space to a full second living area.

The Brehm project began with a large, unfinished lower level full of potential but no function. The vision was ambitious: turn that blank space into a true extension of the home, with dedicated areas for entertaining, hosting guests, working, and creating — and a design that balanced both homeowners' styles, blending light and colorful with earthy and moody throughout.

We designed and managed the renovation from the studs up. At its center is a stunning custom arched bar built for wine lovers, featuring an X-shaped bottle display, built-in wine storage, a gray veined quartz waterfall backsplash, and a live-edge shelf with integrated lighting. From there, the lower level unfolds into a comfortable entertainment and media area with a custom slat-wall feature, an open his-and-hers home office designed to stay connected to the space rather than walled off, a private guest bedroom with a coordinating slat-wall door, a full bathroom with hexagon tile and a custom curved-edge vanity, and a dedicated craft room positioned for natural light. Every zone was thoughtfully laid out and finished with the same elevated, cohesive design.

The before photos tell the whole story — a raw, unfinished basement reimagined into one of the most used and loved levels of the house. From concept to final reveal, the entire project was designed and managed in-house, the hallmark of a true full-service approach.
